After their cattle were stole, Black ranches Courtney “CW” Mallery and Nicole Mallery say they didn’t receive any help from their local law enforcement officials. So they took their fight to Colorado’s legislatures. Now, a bill they’ve championed is set to become law, and will allow the state’s Department of Agriculture to receive reports of lost or stolen livestock, ensure it is publicly posted, and coordinate efforts with local law enforcement.
